About the founder

 

Before founding Lex Maris in 1990 (at that time in Hamburg) Gerson Behr had already accumulated significant experience working both in Brazil and in Europe as a correspondent of P&I Clubs, in-house lawyer at a major shipping company and as a trader for a fruit company. 

 

Since then he has acquired substantial experience in serving the insurance market in the UK and South America as well as many trading companies located in those regions. In so doing, Gerson has gained a reputation for his diligence and the quality of work performed and he has developed an extensive network of reliable lawyers and experts worldwide. As a well-connected sole trader, Gerson offers a quality product at realistic and competitive rates. 

 

Gerson graduated in law at the University of São Paulo and then completed post-graduate studies at The London School of Foreign Trade. He is fluent in Portuguese (mother-tongue), English, French  and Spanish; and has a good working knowledge of German, Norwegian and Italian.
